DR Congo could have won against England at the 2026 World Cup but bad game management allowed England to make a comeback.

Before Congo scored, they were running towards English players to get the ball which made it difficult for England to attack. Congo was dominating the game until the water break at around 22 minutes.

Congo then started playing defensive football with over 60 minutes left to go. They brought their players back into their own half leaving England space to pass the ball around and look for opportunities to score. This is why England won.

The same was seen in Congo's game against Colombia. They were playing defensive football. Colombia was attacking, Congo was defending. In the 76th minute, Colombia scored. The game finished 1-0 to Colombia.
