How Black Americans can delineate from other Black groups in America.

Delineation is about differentiating between Black Americans who trace their ancestry in America to the 1800’s and Black people who migrated to America in the 1900’s and after.

Currently the Black Americans who want delineat...ion are calling themselves FBA (Foundational Black American) but it is not officially recognised. The ethnic name for Black Americans is “African American”. The term African American is problematic to some because they view themselves as Americans, not Africans.

The term African American needs to go for proper delineation because a person of African migrant history that has American citizenship can claim African and American. A unique ethnic name is required. Some have proposed “Soulaan” and FBA. Soulaan stands for “Soul Autochthonous American”.

Soulaan does the job properly, people can’t claim it because it isn’t an international term like Black or African. Black people exist even outside of America, Africans too but the term Soulaan can be used for one soecific ethnic group.

Delineation requires Black Americans to be referred to by a unique term, not a race e.g. Black or a term that African immigrants can claim like African American and some Blacks don’t want to be told that they are African, they are Americans. +
