it's difficult to create a social media site or app in 2026. I see message boards like 4chan get millions of views per day, I made a message board with more functionality and more user friendly but it receives no views.

It's hard to break into the social media market because there are already es...tablished companies. People are already using Twitter (X), YouTube, Instagam, Reddit and 4Chan, they won't just switch.

4chan was able to rise due to being created in 2003 when there was little competition, there was no Twitter, Instagram, YouTube nor FaceBook. Timing matters in business, sometimes there might be too much competition.

It's important to innovate because that makes you first with the new idea, the lack of competition with the new idea gives you time to grow before the copycats appear. Apple has been having trouble in growth because ever since Steve Jobs left there's been less innovation. +
