Elon Musk told USC Marshall's class of 2014 that "work hard" means something far more extreme than most people think:
"Work hard every waking hour." When he and his brother started their first company, they skipped the apartment, rented a small office, slept on the couch, and showered at the YMCA. ...One computer. Website up by day, coding by night, seven days a week.
His girlfriend had to sleep in the office just to see him.
His logic is simple math. If somebody else is working 50 hours and you're working 100, you'll get twice as much done in a year as the other company. And the window doesn't stay open forever: once you have a family, every risk is a risk for them too. "I would encourage you to take risks now, do something bold. You won't regret it." #entrepreneur #business #elonmusk #startup #motivation +
